OMEGA - Welcomes Eddie Redmayne to a swiss golfing celebration

2025-09-01

To celebrate this year's OMEGA Masters golf tournament in the Swiss mountains, an exclusive gala event was hosted in L'Arnouva on Saturday night, with the OMEGA ambassador, Eddie Redmayne, welcomed as the evening's special guest.

Situated far above the golfing greens of Crans-Montana, L'Arnouva is a popular destination for skiers and hikers, offering sensational views all year round. Guests were transported via cable car to the evening's celebration, which marked OMEGA's 24th year as the title sponsor of the OMEGA Masters.

Stepping onto stage was the Academy Award-winning actor, Eddie Redmayne, who has been an OMEGA ambassador since 2015. His most notable career roles have included The Trial Of the Chicago 7, Les Misérables, The Danish Girl, the Fantastic Beasts series, and The Theory Of Everything – for which he received the Oscar for 'Actor in a Leading Role' amongst other awards. His recent performances in The Good Nurse and Day of the Jackal have also earned him multiple nominations, including at the Golden Globes and Screen Actors Guild Awards. Off-screen, Eddie Redmayne is renowned for his sophisticated style, making him an ideal ambassador for OMEGA's timepiece collections. For the Swiss event, he wore a Seamaster Railmaster in stainless steel (235.10.38.20.06.001).

Raynald Aeschlimann, President and CEO of OMEGA, welcomed guests and said, “Being here in the mountains, celebrating one of our favourite Swiss sporting events, there really is no better way to experience our OMEGA home. I'm delighted to welcome everyone here this evening, and especially Eddie, who is getting to experience another unique passion of our brand.”

Eddie Redmayne said, “During these past 10 years with OMEGA, I've witnessed so many incredible parts of the brand, whether it's the Olympic Games or the precision on display at their factory. I've learned there are always more surprises to uncover. It's impressive to see the impact they have within the wider world of sport, and how their values of precision and performance are represented here at this amazing golfing location.”

Amongst the special guests, a group of OMEGA's golfing ambassadors also attended the evening celebration, including Kim Métraux, Wyndham Clark, Rasmus Hojgaard, Nicolai Hojgaard, Danny Willett, Miguel Angel Jiménez, Erik Van Rooyen, Frank Kennedy and Guido Migliozzi.

Played at the Crans-sur-Sierre Golf Club until 31st of August, the OMEGA Masters is one of OMEGA's sporting highlights of the year. Originally called the Swiss Open when it was first played in 1923, the high-altitude competition has remained at the same venue since 1939, making it the oldest golf tournament in Europe to be played on the same course every year. OMEGA claimed the naming rights in 2001.
